Jaxon Evans will return to Nürburgring this weekend to contest the 12-hour endurance race in the #3 Falken Tyres Motorsport Porsche 911 GT3 R entry.
Evans will team up with codrivers Joel Eriksson, Sven Müller, and Alessio Picariello in a new-look race format that consists of a test day on Friday before Qualifying on Saturday and a two-part race that’s broken into two six-hour segments across the weekend.
“I’m really looking forward to swapping the virtual reality of my sim for the real deal and getting back on track doing what I love,” said Evans.
“I’ve had a long summer break and am ready to get some racing laps under my belt. The new format for this weekend’s race will be interesting with the two-part race segments.
“Cars will be placed into parc ferme conditions at the conclusion of racing on Saturday evening, which means no work can take place on them overnight.
“We need to make sure we look after the car on Saturday so there is little damage and we’re ready to roll out on Sunday.”
“The weather conditions are not looking too friendly for the race, so a new challenge awaits as I am yet to experience the Nordschleife/Nürburgring in the wet.
“The team secured a very strong win at the most recent NLS event, so I hope we can continue that form and bring home another good result,” said Evans.
The 12-hour Nürburgring will be held from Friday 9 September 2022 to Sunday 11 September 2022.
The race will be streamed live on YouTube in both English and German: https://www.youtube.com/c/Nürburgring_official/
The first six-hour race segment will start at 2:30pm (CEST) on Saturday, and the second six-hour race segment at 10am (CEST) on Sunday.
