About Jaxon Evans
Jaxon Evans’ is a third-generation Kiwi racer who from a young age was determined to forge a career in motorsport. Starting out in Australia and later expanding his sports car career to Europe, Evans is now an FIA Gold driver and professional driver for Porsche.
Evan’s family moved to Australia when he was nine years, and he experienced his first taste of kart racing at age 11. In 2014, Evans entered the New Zealand KZ2 Kart Championship and quickly proved his ability by finishing runner-up.
He got his big break at just 17 years old, and he was invited to test a Porsche 911 Cup car at Queensland Raceway. Within a few years, Evans had claimed the Australian Porsche Carrera Cup Championship with six wins and eight second places.
With experience and a Championship title behind him, he headed to Europe in 2019 to compete for a place in the Porsche Junior Programme. He beat 11 other racers to win the competition. He signed a contract with Porsche and picked up €250,000 to put towards racing.
He again impressed as a Porsche Junior driver, finishing as the number one rookie in the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland in 2019 before winning the Porsche Carrera Cup France in 2020.
To cap off the 2020 season, Jaxon completed a test day and raced in the final round – 8 Hours of Bahrain – of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). He brought the car home in third in the GTE-AM class for a podium on debut with Dempsey Proton Racing.
Evans signed as a full-time driver for Dempsey Proton Racing in 2021 and competed in the full FIA WEC season, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Parallel to his World Endurance campaign, he did a third season in Porsche’s pinnacle of one make racing – the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup – with Martinet by Almeras. He also raced in selected events in the European LeMans Series, French Carrera Cup, and NLS on the world-famous Nordschleife – Nürburgring.
In 2022, Evans raced in the northern hemisphere and competed in the FIA World Endurance Championship and selected races of the NLS Nürburgring Endurance Series.
2023 saw Evans competing in ADAC GT Masters for Porsche along with appearances at Nordschleife Nürburgring. Also returning to Australia for his second appearance at the Supercar Pirtek Enduro Cup.
2024 Jaxon is competing in the Supercar Champion Series full time for SCT in the #12 SCT Logistics Camaro.
